Deoband’s fatwa against terrorism a blow to communal forces: Deve Gowda

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda has welcomed the fatwa against terrorism issued by Darul Uloom Deoband and said this is a blow on the face of communal forces that are tarnishing the image of Islam.
In a statement on 3rd June he said communal forces are spreading hatred and communal tension that is more dangerous than terrorism. Communal forces are out to destabilize the country. He said the fatwa issued at the grand anti-terrorism conference of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind will help in building communal harmony and amity. He said it was alleged that Ulema and madrasas are silent on terrorism but this fatwa and anti-terrorism campaign will silence the critics of Islam.
